What are the Maldives like in July (rainy season) Do I need to take a Macintosh?
I did here it only rains a little in the rainy season but I'm a little worried I'm gonna need a brolly not a bikini. Have you been? BTW I'm going to Vilamendhoo island. Have you been here or heard about it?
Vilamendhoo Island Resort is wonderful. You will not need your Macintosh. However, take extra T-shirts for your scuba and snorkel trips. Take some "sea booties" for the beach coral -- the locals walk barefoot but for me I've worn shoes too long to walk on the coral with comfort.

You will enjoy the fruit bats -- they are amazing in the Maldives with lots at Vilamendhoo.
Take lots of DEET and an extra 3-prong room plug.
