To blog about a particular topic (say it's affiliate marketing or weight loss or ringtones ... unlimited) and you blog about it for a while, you begins to be noticed! Google, MSN, Yahoo and spiders to collect a lot of data about what your specific issue in his blog, and blog pages.
So your blog is "known" by the search engines.

I have to say that this conversation was before desktop computers. But he knew. There is always someone with bald tires! And you can sell the new ones. But probably no, if they have bald tires!
Now, the keywords you use for an article or a post on a blog is a huge debate, which go into depth on once, but here is the "essence" of it. Broad match keywords would be keywords like "Internet Marketing".
If you target general keywords you have plenty of competition and really do not want that keyword in any case, since it will take "the traffic out of focus". Not sorted to your specifications. No "targeted traffic"
A person types in "Internet Marketing" might be looking for ways to make money ... anyway because it's starting to look or are interested in the authorship of the website, pay per click traffic generation, blogging, marketing membership, or any of a number of things under the umbrella of internet marketing.
So ... you want to "order the Traffic in traffic flows that are more likely to buy what you have to, for example, a person who wrote in "Internet Marketing".
Here is the essence of online direct marketing (Internet Marketing) ... Many names indeed ... as Search Engine Marketing.
The essence of sales Direct online ... TRAFFIC + CONVERSION (SALES) = money
No traffic - no conversion (sales) = no money. That is a formula easy to understand and it took me a year and a half to work out. I can be a bit "thick".
In order to sell something online you need a good offer a good market and has to generate traffic from that market to offer! Not only the traffic of age. Targeted traffic. The guy who is likely to want what you have to offer!
So, how is a blog as advertising? "Remember this in algebra? If a = b and b = c then a = c! Get it? Mathematics basic.
The publicity generated traffic - generate traffic Blogs - Advertising Blogs same!
People were trying to tell me this a few years ago and I could not hear clearly.
I was in a state of bewilderment. I was interested in everything related to internet marketing. Yet I am. Except maybe the keyword research. That bores me. I prefer to "borrow" from my keyword research ... which is another topic for another day and is big.
When I moved into this long-term affair with a blog was when I started making money, and I'll tell you why.
When I write my messages I write to include some key words and do with article marketing. Now that my blog has been around for a while until Google my messages when someone searches for keywords.
Another advantage of blog / internet marketing is this ... in each position ... I put links to the offers I have. These offers are housed in another domain of mine and post them in the standard format page HTML website.
Think about it. Each one of my posts have links to offers I am a member of .. My blog also has "pages" feature that generate sales. Add to my autoresponder that sends messages e-mail a week 2 to my subscribers with links to offers on them and it all starts to add up to an online business!
I realized this simple fact ... "drive right traffic to the offer of law" and have "right to sell!"
Pick a way - to do their best - stick with it. Now ... a warning ... choose carefully.
