How do you keep a patio/deck umbrella clean? Free of mildew and discoloration? HELP!?
We have this beautiful large deck umbrella in a tan color and it is covered with mildew looking stains in the fabric and the green moss stuff b/c we have woods close to the property and wetlands less then 500 feet away. It is in partial sun/shade. I have tried scrubbing it with all diff. types of cleaners and have nearly given up.! How can I protect the next one...someone told me to scotch gard it? Any suggestions!
same situation , we have a beautiful , unwinding deck , and we also have a beige tan mix color patio/dek umbrella it's huge and we love it , u see we live in Altadena , CA and we live next to the mounatins were a forest beagins at the side of our backyard , well i suggest scrubing one more time and placing a plastic shield cover on your umbrella you can buy them at the same store you purchsed your umbrella , thats what we did and it fits perfectly and looks just as perfect , and no mildew stains of discoloration occurs , it's extremely helpful , hope i helped ! good luck !
